Nancy Pandhi, MD, MPH, PhD

Nancy Pandhi, MD, MPH, PhD, is a physician-scientist whose primary focus is improving the delivery of ambulatory care to vulnerable populations through participant-centered engagement approaches that are implemented both at the individual and organizational level.


Akshay Sood, MD

Akshay Sood is a tenured Professor and the founding Miners’ Colfax Medical Center Endowed Chair at the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine. He is currently the Assistant Dean of Mentoring and Faculty Retention at the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine.


Shannon Sanchez-Youngman, PhD

Dr. Sanchez-Youngman is a community based participatory researcher with expertise in Latino mental health disparities intervention research and health equity policy. Dr. Sanchez-Youngman seeks to bridge the gap between social science theories and methods with multi-level health intervention research.


Vincent Werito

Experienced Associate Professor with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry and with Indigenous communities in the Southwest.


Lorenda Belone, PhD, MPH

Lorenda Belone, PhD, MPH (Dine/Navajo) is Assistant Professor, within the Health Education Program, UNM College of Education with a secondary appointment within the UNM Center for Participatory Research. She has been actively engaged over the past 14 years in CBPR research that have involved southwest Native American communities.


Daniel Shattuck

Daniel Shattuck, PhD, is a medical anthropologist and implementation scientist with the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation. His work focuses on addressing the health disparities of structurally vulnerable populations, particularly sexual and gender minority youth. His research is heavily influenced by ethnographic methods, multimodal and long-term engagement with local communities, and cultivating a holistic perspective on the factors that influence health and well-being.


Nathania Tsosie, MCRP

Nathania Tsosie is a Lecturer in the Department of Family & Community Medicine, and the Associate Director of the UNM Center for Native American Health, where she leads community-engaged research and education programming.


Rebecca A Rae, MPH

Rebecca Rae is Jicarilla Apache from Dulce, NM. She is a Research Lecturer III with the College of Population Health and Associate Director of Indigenous Research, Evaluation, and Strategic Planning with the Center for Participatory Research.


Carlos Linares Koloffon

Carlos is a physician, his research interests are cardiovascular and kidney disease, health care systems, equity and youth wellbeing, social media and public health communications. He is currently a Master of Public Health student at the University of New Mexico.


Christina Alaniz

Christina Alaniz is a Program Coordinator at the University of New Mexico College of Population Health, in the Center for Participatory Research. Her public health interests include community-based research, maternal mortality, and working with youth.
