Communities of Practice Network
Equity ECHO Series
The Equity ECHO Series is part of the UNM WEAVE NM Communities of Practice Network (COPN). This series aims to highlight anti racism approaches, employed by the WEAVE NM project, that address the impact of structural inequities on the health and well being of communities of color in New Mexico.
The COPN is a community-centered dissemination science approach to developing strategies for systems/policy change, public health practice, narrative change, and data justice/data sovereignty. The COPN Equity ECHO series engages in knowledge sharing, co-learning, and co-creating common practices across organizations, public health systems, and policy networks. In this series we examine ethical dilemmas in research and how we move communities forward.

ECHO and Communities of Practice
To increase our reach and continue building community capacity, the WEAVE NM project will expand community engagement through Project ECHO. ECHO is a case-based “all teach all learn” community-centered, non-hierarchical, theory-based online learning space where community of practice members draw from their knowledge and experience and contribute to mutual learning and co-creation. This proven intervention democratizes knowledge to the most remote and under served communities.
